Quest - Arsaidh Aon

Muhsin
"arsaidh aon"

Did you hear the news? The statue at the bottom of the Mileth Crypt has disappeared!
None of the Mundanes know what happened. You should probably go down there and investigate.

At Crypt Chief Room

That mundane was right, the statue is gone. You notice large foot prints starting from where the statue once stood leading to the exit.
Is it possible for a headless statue to come alive and walk out on it's own?
Other than the foot prints, there is nothing else to see.

"arsaidh aon"

So you saw foot prints? And it seemed like it belonged to the statue?
Uhhh, this sounds like a very serious matter, I would suggest you talk to a Mundane more 'official' than I.
You might want to do a little research about this headless statue as well, so that your word will have more credibility.

Blaise
"Statue in the Mileth Crypt"

Ahh yes, word has spread across Temuair that the headless statue has disappeared.
So you want to learn more of the statue? To be honest, I do not have much record of this statue.
The room was actually discovered by Aislings in the first Deoch Era. There were no writings, nothing engraved, just a headless statue of a winged beast.
You saw foot prints? And you believe it's from the statue?
Amusing, it is likely someone is playing a ruse on us.
Based on historical records, some have speculated that the statue was sculpted, in honor of arsaidh aon, the Ancient One.
There is nothing written about arsaidh aon, it is likely to be a mythical creature, something made up by the imagination of the sculptor.
I have always wanted to see the statue myself, however it has always been too dangerous to venture that deep in the Mileth Crypts.
That is all the information I have on the statue, sorry I cannot be of more assistance.
Though there is one more thing that might be of help, the sculptor was supposedly a royal ancestor, his name was Donal Oaren.

Deos

How did you hear of Donal Oaren
Ah, so it was that historian from Loures who told you.
That missing statue is related to Donal in someway, but I'm not sure how. King Oren knows very little about his ancestors, especially of Donal.
Donal was not an artist and certainly not a sculptor, he was more an art collector
Soon after the Shadows War, he vented into an ancient dungeon, currently known as Mileth Crypts.
That is when he discovered the headless statue, long before any Aisling discovered it. Let's get one thing straight, he never took credit for sculpting that statue. It was King Oren who told me this one drunken night, sigh...I missed those days.
But there is one more thing, Donal was not the one to call it arsaidh aon. When Donal made an official report in Loures, someone told him it was arsaidh aon.
Good luck with your investigation.

Thibault
"Donal Oaren??"

arsaidh aon? Sorry, but I have never heard of such a thing.
Donal Oaren? Again, sorry but I am not sure what you are talking about. I will inquiry more with the others but I doubt they will know either.

While trying to leave

As you walk away disappointed, a servant walks up to you and hands you a note. He runs off before you can ask him who it is from.
The note reads:
'I know of what you are looking for, come speak with me in the dungeon here and I will tell you all I know.'

Yves
"Note From Servant"

Greetings, you must be the one investigating the missing 'statue'
A friend of mine over heard you mention Donal Oaren, you have already gotten much further than most.
It was my ancestor that told Donal Oaren about arsaidh aon. The story has been told in my family for generations. If the statue is truly missing, then the story is true and we are all doomed.
arsaidh aon was the first, the original dubhaimid.
"Out of an obscure understanding of the elements was wrought a fifth element: darkness." From it, atrocious creatures were born."
It was a powerful and horrific creature of destruction.
"Their towns, too, would be eaten by the monstrocities."
Five lords from the war of light and darkness sought to destroy the beast, and in the end they succeeded. It was decapitated by a single blow, and it's body remained, hardened into a statue.
From what you discovered in the crypts, the foot prints, the obvious theory is that the body of arsaidh aon has awoken and is in search of its head.
If I remember the story correctly, the lord who dealt the blow, he was the one who kept the head, as a trophy i would assume.
Who is this lord you ask? Hehe, have so many forgotten him already? He was one of the lords that formed the League of Darkness with Lord Tenes. His name was Lord Feasgar.
He later became king of his own kingdom and named it after himself.
"The League and outsiders divided Temuair into ten kingdoms, beginning the Dark Ages."
Loures, Mileth, Rucesion, Piet, Abel, Suomi, Tagor, Undine, and Oren, that is only nine...
He aided Tenes in the war against Ainmeal. After the battle was lost, he returned to his kingdom to find it completely abandoned.
Without aging he sat on his throne, in in his empty castle, in his empty kingdom... for hundreds of deochs. No one really knew the magic behind his youth.
It is likely the head of arsaidh aon is at Feasgar's castle. Unfortunately records of its location has been lost for a long time now.
I've heard that Donal did continue his investigation into the statue, but I do not know if he got as far as discovering the Kingdom of Feasgar.
You should probably find out more about Donal.

Deos

I have already told you what I know about Donal Oaren.
The kingdom of Feasgar? No I have never heard of it. Donal was quite the explorer though, he had a collection of ancient maps.
Maybe one of them leads to Feasgar. But I believe all of his belongings have been buried with him, in his tomb.
King Oren would most assuredly not allow anyone to desecrate the tomb of one of his ancestors.
I understand this missing statue is important, but I will not risk my own neck to ask this of the King.
You will just have to find another way. You should probably talk to someone who knows the lower levels of Oren.

Baldo
"Oren Tombs"

You want to venture into the Oren Tombs? What business do you have going there?
You're not a tomb raider are ya? You Aislings have a love for rare items and such. King Oren would behead me if he knew I let you into the tombs.
But I am one to take a bribe now and then. One million gold coins is something I can risk beheading for.

"Here take it."
without gold

Hmm..this pouch you gave me seems a little light. I may be old, but i am not senile.
with gold
In one of the Oren houses is an entry way similar to the one I am standing next to. That will lead you to the tombs.

"Let me go get it."
