Quest - Mysterious Fruit

Do you remember the story about Captain Birad and how he was killed by pirates? Well, the pirates were actually looking for something.
At first I did not know what it was they were looking for, but I found the Captain's diary. Within the diary he describe his journey to find this mysterious fruit.
He came upon this fruit once before, it was given to him by a mysterious traveler. Knowing nothing about it, the Captain ate it. He later learned the fruit had a unique characteristic of never molding once it is plucked from the branch.
The Captain, realizing the fortune he could make if he could grow a farm of these fruits, set on a life long journey to find it again..
He eventually found the fruit, but the pirates were aware of his discovery and raided his ship. The pirates were such moronic savages that they killed the Captain before asking him where he hid it. It remains hidden to this day.
I have searched all over for the fruit but to no avail. You are a keen Aisling, will you help me find it?
